CHARLIE, B.C. – Charlie Lake residents are sprucing up their community to honour a well-known resident, Vance Dancy.
The Charlie Lake Conservation Society says this year’s spring clean up is in memory of Dancy, who passed away last year.
The community is asked to meet at the south-end parking lot near the boat launch from June 5th to 13th at 11 a.m. to begin cleaning up the shores of the lake.
Residents are encouraged to pick up garbage along the shorelines, roadways and in ditches near their homes, says the society.
The Peace River Regional District will be waiving tipping fees at the North Peace Regional Landfill during this time.
