FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John & District Chamber of Commerce roundtable next week will discuss the state of the North Peace Regional Airport.

Managing Director, Mike Karsseboom, will join the virtual session to speak on airport operations in 2020.

Karsseboom will also speak about what’s expected for 2021 regarding passengers, aircraft movements, revenue, major infrastructure projects.

In January, Karsseboom said airport passenger traffic for 2020 was down around 55 per cent, while other airports within Canada seen passenger traffic drop down 85 to 95 per cent. In 2019, the airport saw over 278,000 passengers, while in 2020, it was over 114,000.

The roundtable will take place on Thursday, June 3rd, from 10 to 11 a.m.
