DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Health declared an end to the COVID-19 outbreak at the Dawson Creek & District Hospital.
In total, four cases were recorded among patients and one staff member tested positive in the Medical Inpatient Unit since April 19th.
Two patients who had tested positive in association with the outbreak later died.
There have been no new cases since the 21st of April.
The health authority thanks patients and their families for their patience, as well as Dawson Creek Hospital staff and physicians for providing excellent care during the outbreak.
Northern Health says it will continue to monitor and follow up any lab-confirmed cases at all Northern Health facilities.
