FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John is opening up the Rotary Spray Park Friday afternoon.
The outdoor water park is beside the North Peace Leisure Pool and North Peace Arena in Centennial Park.
The spray park is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day until September, depending on the weather. The public washrooms will be open during spray park hours.
Since the park is not supervised, children need to be accompanied by a guardian.
Glass, pets, skateboards, rollerblades, bikes, and scooters are not permitted within the park, and the city strongly recommends wearing shoes.
Although the city is excited to open up the park, there are some important reminders to make sure the public can safely enjoy the park this summer.
While at the park, it is important to limit contact with people outside of your bubble, practice social distancing, stay home if you feel sick, come back another time if the park is too busy, and avoid large groups and gatherings.
