FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Early Sunday afternoon, BC Wildfire service tankers departed North Peace Regional Airport to conduct practice drops.
The drops took place approximately 50km west of Hudsons Hope, says BC Wildfire.”
Early season practices are important for air attack officers and the tankers groups to remain proficient and prepared to respond to active wildfires. Practices also provide an opportunity to ensure that the aircraft is mechanically sound and ready to respond,” says BC Wildfire in a social media post.
