VANCOUVER, B.C. – ICBC will begin moving forward with the plans to send out Enhanced Care refunds to eligible customers.
ICBC launched the program on May 1st, which means most customers will be paying less for their insurance. With the lowered cost, some British Columbians will be receiving a one-time, pro-rated refund.
According to a release from ICBC, “each customer’s refund amount will be for the difference between what they paid when they last renewed their current insurance policy and the new, lower cost of Enhanced Care, for however long their current policy extends past May 1st.”
Those who qualify and are eligible for the refund will receive a letter from ICBC explaining the refund amount and how it will be returned. For example, if a customer paid by credit card, the refund will be put back on that, those who paid cash or debit will receive a cheque in the mail.
More information on Enhanced Care and the refund can be found on ICBC’s website.
