VICTORIA, B.C. – The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control released the regular weekly geographic distribution of cases by local health authority maps, as well as some new reports on its website.
From May 2nd to 8th, Peace River North added 45 new cases, while Peace River South recorded 34 cases.
The CDC also released new reports and maps showing case rates, testing and vaccination coverage.

There hasn’t been a change of more than 5 per cent to the daily case rate from May 4th to 10th, and the daily rate per 100,000 population sits in the 10 to 20 range.
The testing positivity rate for each health authority has also been released Wednesday.
For May 4th to 10th, Peace River North, Peace River South, and Fort Nelson regions are all in the 10 to 20 per cent positivity rate, with Peace River South positivity rate increasing in the last week.
