VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added 52 new cases over the weekend, including 11 from Sunday to Monday.
The active case count remains at 157.
There are 11 people in hospital, four of whom are in critical care.
There were two COVID-19 related deaths over the weekend, bringing the total to 143.
In total, 7,357 cases have been confirmed in the Northern Health Region. Of those, 7,056 have recovered.
The province added 1,759 new cases over the weekend. From Friday to Saturday there were 596 cases, 605 from Saturday to Sunday, and 558 from Sunday to Monday.
The active case count for the province sits at 6,140 according to Dr. Bonnie Henry’s conference Monday. The BC CDC shows 6,132 active cases in the province.
There are 415 people in hospital, 150 of whom are in critical care. The BC CDC dashboard shows 426 people in hospital across the province.
The province added 20 COVID-19 related deaths over the weekend, bringing the total to 1,622.
Out of 136,100 total cases recorded in British Columbia since last March, 128,139 have recovered.
Northern Health announced a COVID-19 exposure notice for North Peace Secondary School on May 3rd and 5th.
Energetic Learning Campus had an exposure notice for May 4th.
Dawson Creek Secondary School had an exposure notice from May 3rd to 5th.
