Hudson’s Hope Fire officials say the fire appears human-caused.
“This was a very careless act. Things could have turned very bad, very quickly. A fire like this could have run into the trees, putting our community, property, and human safety at extreme risk with how dry the current conditions are,” says Fire Chief Brad Milton.
Police are asking for dashcam footage or any other information in relation to the fire.
“We have collected some evidence from the scene which will be used for our investigation. If you have any information or dash cam video from Canyon Drive that night, please contact Hudson’s Hope RCMP,” says Cpl. Rob Gardner.
