VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added 25 new cases Thursday, dropping the active case count to 195.
Out of 18 people in hospital, seven are in critical care.

With no COVID-19 related deaths Thursday, the total stays at 140.
Out of 7,141 reported cases in the north, 6,803 have recovered.
British Columbia recorded 853 new cases Thursday, bringing the active case count down to 7,996.
There are 503 people in hospital, 178 of whom are in critical care beds.
There was one COVID-19 related death recorded in B.C. Thursday, bringing the total to 1,577.
Since last spring there have been 128,742 cases in the province. Of those, 118,937 have recovered.
With just 503 people in hospital across British Columbia compared with the record 515 reported Wednesday, intensive care totals hit a new record Thursday.
There are 178 patients in intensive care beds across the province.
Northern Health announced a COVID-19 school exposure for Taylor Elementary School on April 19th and 20th.
In SD 59, Dawson Creek Secondary School had a COVID-19 exposure on April 19th and 20th.
