UPDATE – The highway is back open.
TAYLOR, B.C. – The Alaska Highway has been closed temporarily after a grass fire on the North Taylor Hill.
The District of Taylor says their fire department along with the Charlie Lake and Provincial Wildfire Services responded to a fire on the North Taylor Hill just after 5 p.m. Thursday.

The grass fire started on the east side of the highway near the top of the North Taylor Hill.
