FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a weather alert for the Peace Region.
Rain is expected today and will change to snow and high gusts of wind.
After a spring-like stretch of weather, a cold front is forecasted to cross the B.C. Peace River region on Wednesday. Rain showers will give way to flurries and gusty northerly winds in the late afternoon. The flurries will taper off later in the evening.
A light snowfall accumulation is expected, but local highways near the Rockies may see a higher snowfall amount of 5 to 10 centimetres.
Visibility can be reduced by blowing snow.
