VICTORIA, B.C. -The Northern Health Region added 66 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, raising the active case count to 297.

Out of 25 people in hospital, 10 are in intensive care.

There were no COVID-19 related deaths in the region, keeping the total at 132.

Since last March, 6,687 cases have been recorded in the Northern Health Region. Of those, 6,254 have recovered and are not considered infectious.

Across British Columbia, 1,205 new cases were recorded Thursday, raising the active case count to 10,052.

Out of 409 people in hospital, 125 are in intensive care.

There were three COVID-19 related deaths reported Thursday. Since March 2020, 1,524 COVID-19 related deaths have been counted in British Columbia.

In total, 116,075 cases have been recorded in B.C. Of those, 104,331 have recovered and are not considered infectious.

Northern Health announced the Energetic Learning Campus in Fort St. John had a COVID-19 exposure between April 8th and 9th.
