VICTORIA, B.C. -The Northern Health Region added 43 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, bringing the active case total up to 340.
There are 34 people in hospital, nine of whom are in critical care beds.
The region had no COVID-19 related deaths Tuesday, keeping the total at 128.

There have been 6,294 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Northern Health Region since the beginning of the pandemic. Of those, 5,818, or 92 per cent have since recovered.
British Columbia added 1,068 new cases Tuesday, raising the active case count to 8,671.
There are 328 people in hospital, 96 of whom are in the intensive care unit.
The province confirmed three COVID-19 related deaths Tuesday, bringing the total to 1,489.
Since last spring, there have been 105,988 confirmed cases of COVID-19 across British Columbia. Of those, 95,691 have since recovered.
Northern Health issued a COVID-19 exposure notice for staff and students of Duncan Cran Elementary School on March 29th and 30th. The health authority recommends self-monitoring for symptoms until April 13th.
