FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A Hudson’s Hope youth, Julia Haagsman, is collecting money and other donations for Salvado the tabby cat, who was recently rescued.
The cat was found late last month in rough shape and brought into the North Peace Forgotten Felines Society to be cared for. Salvado was treated for dehydration, tapeworms, a broken rib, severe nail damage, and was also neutered.
Salvado is the first rescue to come from Hudson’s Hope, where Forgotten Felines Society is taking all unclaimed animals who would otherwise be euthanized.

According to a Facebook post, Salvado was scheduled to be euthanized on March 29th. Instead, all unclaimed animals will have another chance at life through the North Peace Forgotten Felines Society.
Haagsman started the fundraiser off with her own donation of $60. Donations to Forgotten Felines can be made through the organization’s Facebook page, and every dollar donated up to $250 will be matched by Chariot Office Trailers Inc.
