FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – Northern Health officially opened clinics in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek for Indigenous peoples over 18 years old this week.
Provincial health officials announced Tuesday that all Indigenous adults in B.C. can now book an appointment to receive their first COVID-19 vaccination.
First Nations Health Authority announced Thursday that all First Nation Communities in B.C. have been offered the first dose of the vaccine.
Here is vaccine clinic information for Peace region communities as of April 1st:
“The whole community approach to vaccinating residents all at once is due to population size, remoteness, logistics, and/or accessibility,” says Northern Health.
Anyone looking to book an appointment is asked to call 1-844-255-7555 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. Holiday Hours for the long weekend are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m on April 2nd and April 5th.
