FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A suspect was arrested by FSJ RCMP after a vehicle crashed into a local building Tuesday.

According to a release from RCMP, on March 30th they received a report of a red Chevrolet pick-up that had driven into a wall of a business. The incident took place around 7:48 p.m. near the intersection of 108th Street and 101st Avenue.

RCMP says an additional report came in that two occupants had fled the scene.

When frontline officers arrived, they located the pick-up still parked at the damaged building and no occupants on scene.

RCMP attended a nearby residence and arrested the suspected driver after some investigation techniques. An impaired investigation was initiated and the driver was transported to the RCMP detachment.

The driver of the pick-up was issued various BC Motor Vehicle Act tickets and released with an Appearance Notice with a court date of June 7th.
