VICTORIA, B.C. – Data collected by the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control shows that the Peace River South region added 92 new cases of COVID-19 during the period between March 21st to 27th, 2021.
By comparison, Peace River North region recorded 17 cases in the same period.
For the period of March 14th to 20th, Peace River South added 74 cases, prompting concern from Dawson Creek Mayor Dale Bumstead.

Earlier this week, Bumstead discussed the possibility of accelerating the vaccine rollout in Dawson Creek.
Northern Health responded saying that it was discussing that option with the provincial health officials, but Bumstead understands there is a lot of planning required.
