FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – School District 60 is awaiting updated health guidelines from the province.
“The complete update and direction from the education sector have not yet been provided,” says SD60 Superintendent Stephen Petrucci.
Provincial Health Officer Bonnie Henry announced Monday that students Grade 4 and up will be required to wear masks.
There has been confusion surrounding the wording of the announcement, however, the BC Teachers’ Federation said the Ministry of Education confirmed masks will be mandatory.
SD60 will inform families and staff of any safety protocols changes and provide a timeline for implementation once received from the province.
