CHETWYND, B.C. – The Saulteau First Nations head office will be closing for a two-week isolation period due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in the community and surrounding area.
The announcement was made on March 19th via the Saulteau First Nations Facebook page, with the closure effective immediately.
According to the post, staff will be transitioning to working from home and ask for patience with staff during this time as there may be some interruptions to services. At this time, the office will not be taking any payments in person and encourage members to sign-up for pre-authorized debit.

The first doses of the vaccines have been administered to a portion of the community. Still, Chief and Council have recommended the members continue to be cautious in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
