VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added 41 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, dropping the active case count to 309.

There are 24 people in hospital, 14 of those are in Intensive Care.

The region had no COVID-19 related deaths Tuesday, keeping the total at 111.

There have been 5,241 confirmed cases and 4,845 recoveries since last spring.

The province recorded 556 new cases Tuesday, dropping the active case count to 4,999.

There are 280 people in hospital, 84 of those are in Intensive Care.

The province had no COVID-19 related deaths Tuesday, keeping the total at 1,407.

Since last spring, B.C. has recorded 88,929 positive cases, and 82,436 of those have recovered.

The Northern Health Region administered 1,222 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine Tuesday, bringing the total number of doses given to 14,523.

Last week, 3,510 doses were distributed to Northern Health, bringing the total number of doses in the supply to 40,925.
