VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added 44 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, dropping the active case count to 268.
There are 23 people in hospital, 12 of those are in ICU.
The region confirmed two COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday, bringing the total to 109.

A total of 4,693 cases have been recorded in the region, and 4,303 have recovered.
B.C. recorded 542 new cases Wednesday, dropping the active case total to 4,654.
There are 246 people in hospital, 64 of those are in ICU.
The province added seven COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday, bringing the total to 1,372.
In total, British Columbia has recorded 81,909 cases, and 75,819 have recovered.
Northern Health issued a COVID-19 exposure notice for students and staff at North Peace Secondary School from February 24th to 26th. Students and staff are asked to monitor for symptoms until March 12th, which is 14 days after the last possible exposure.
