FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Highway 97 – The Pine Pass with 15 centimetres expected.
A Pacific frontal system will be bringing snow to the Pine Pass Wednesday night, with the heaviest snowfall expected then. By Thursday, the snow should ease into flurries.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times with heavy snow.
Weather conditions in the mountains can change suddenly which may result in hazardous driving. Be prepared to adjust driving with the conditions.
Should visibility be reduced, turn your lights on and maintain a safe following distance.
