VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region recorded 37 new cases of COVID-19 Thursday, bringing the active case total to 335.
Out of 10 people in hospital, seven are in Critical Care.
There were two COVID-19 related deaths reported Thursday. The total COVID-19 related deaths since last March is 93.

As of Thursday, the total number of cases in the Northern Health Region is 3,939. Of those, 3,488 have recovered.
Across British Columbia, 449 new cases of COVID-19 were reported Thursday, bringing the active total in the province to  4,317.
There are 224 people in hospital, and 63 of those are in Critical Care.
The province recorded nine new COVID-19 related deaths Thursday. Since last spring, 1,278 British Columbians have died from COVID-19.
Since March 2020, the total case count is 72,305, and 66,603 of those have recovered.
According to a release from SD81 Superintendent Diana Samchuck, Northern Health has confirmed a COVID-19 exposure in School District 81 at Fort Nelson Secondary School. The exposure date was from February 1st to February 3rd.
The geographic distribution of cases by local health area report was released for the week of January 31st to February 6th.
Peace River North reported 27 cases, while Peace River South reported 19.
