FORT ST. JOHN – An extreme cold warning has been issued for all of Northeast BC.
Environment Canada says the temperature could drop to -45 overnight into Sunday as an arctic mass moves into the region.
in Fort St. John the temperature will drop to -30 for overnight but with the windchill it will feel closer to -43.

Current details:
Extreme cold wind chill values of near minus 40 to minus 45 are expected for tonight and Sunday as an Arctic airmass settles over the region.
Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.
Cover up. Frostbite can develop within minutes on exposed skin, especially with wind chill.
Extreme cold warnings are issued when very cold temperatures or wind chill creates an elevated risk to health such as frost bite and hypothermia.
