FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – According to BC Hydro, a Site C worker has passed away due to the COVID-19 virus.
Spokesperson, David Conway, confirmed on Monday that the company learned of the death over the weekend. The person worked for a Site C contractor.
“This case was concluded to have been from a community transmission and not the result of an onsite transmission,” says Conway.

The site has reported 40 cases since March.
As of Jan. 25th, there are seven active cases, and out of 942 in camp, three workers are currently isolating.
