FORT ST. JOHN – Peace River North recorded 37 COVID-19 cases between Jan. 10 to Jan. 16, which is down 10 cases from the week prior.
In Peace River South, there were eight cases reported and 40 cases in Fort Nelson.
The positivity rate in the Northern Health Region is 15 per cent, as of Jan. 21st. Compared to the rest of the province, Northern Health has the highest test positivity rate.

The rate has steadily dropped since hitting 17.5 per cent on Jan. 1st, which was the region’s highest rate since BC CDC began recording cases in March.
In the Northern Health Region, just under 52,500 COVID-19 tests have been completed since the pandemic.
As of Jan.21st, Northern Health reported 76 new cases, bringing the active case count in the region to 508.
