VANCOUVER, B.C. – A BC Hydro survey says that four out of five British Columbians will be leaving their Christmas lights and decorations up.
According to Hydro’s release, Northerners topped the list of most likely to decorate at home.
Many British Columbians decided to extend their holiday season decorations to bring some cheer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with bringing some joy, many residents across the province are spending more time at home.
Decorating for the holidays was one of the few traditions residents were able to do this year. Hydro says this may be one of the main reasons they will leave their lights up.
Hydro recommends switching lights to LEDs as they can help you save money and last longer and use timers to turn lights off automatically.
