FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The outdoor skating rink at Kin Park is now open for residents to enjoy.

According to the City of Fort St. John, there are signs posted, and it will be monitored to make sure that residents are following the safety recommendations.

The City has added more seating to help individuals with social distancing.

Residents are reminded that to maintain physical distancing from those not in your household bubble, wear a mask, and make sure there are no more than 50 people on the ice at once.

It is recommended that families use the skating surfaces during non-peak times to ensure social distancing is met.

The Parks Crews will regularly flood the outdoor ice surfaces, usually on Sunday mornings.

The Kin Park skating surface is located next to Bert Ambrose Elementary.
