FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health has decreased the number of people waitlisted for lab work at the Fort St. John Hospital by 50 per cent.
With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, many residents needing routine lab work have been waitlisted due to restrictions.
Northern Health posted to its Facebook yesterday stating they hired additional booking clerks to help schedule appointments, reorganizing how to complete procedures, and adding additional days.

The health authority is reminding residents that if they’ve made an appointment but can’t make it to contact them to reschedule 48 hours in advance. In the past four months, 206 people were no-shows, which resulted in missed opportunities to schedule others waiting.
