HORSE LAKE, AB. – Beaverlodge RCMP has reported that they were called to a residence in Horse Lake, Alberta, to remove a male with outstanding warrants.
When RCMP arrived on January 2, 2021, the male, Darcy Wanihandi, took off on a snowmobile. After getting stuck in trees, Wanihandi fled on foot and was later arrested.
When Wanihandi was arrested, RCMP located a semi-automatic sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun, ammunition, and other weapons and multiple different drugs, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, oxycodone, and GHB.
Along with Wanihandi’s outstanding warrants, he was also charged with the following:
Wanihandi has been held for a Judicial Hearing and remains in custody until his next appearance on January 13th, 2021.
Back in September, Beaverlodge RCMP charged Wanihandi with Drug Trafficking charges.
