VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region has 64 new cases of COVID-19, as of Thursday afternoon, bringing the number of active cases to 438.

When looking at hospitalizations in Northern Health, 38 are in hospital, with 16 of those in ICU.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Northern Health Region now stands at 2,338.

The Region’s death count remains at 32.

1,859 people to have contracted the virus, in the Northern Health Region, have since recovered.

As for provincial numbers,  761 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, bringing the total to 56,015.

Active cases across the province stand at 6,349, and 47,374 have since recovered from the virus.

Hospitalizations in B.C. are at 372, with 74 of those in ICU.

The province’s death count now sits at 970.

8,849 people are currently under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases.
