Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Highway 97 – the Pine Pass.

According to Environment Canada, a frontal system will stall over the region bringing heavy snow tonight and into Thursday, with total amounts of 10 to 20 centimeters expected to fall.

Snow will begin this evening and intensify overnight, with heavy snow periods continuing Thursday afternoon.

Visibility while driving may be reduced at times with heavy snow, and weather in the mountains can change suddenly, resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Make sure to always check road conditions on Drive BC.
