FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Elevate Aviation will pay for medical flights to help a local family.

Elevate Aviation, a non-profit organization, had a dream to do a Christmas wish this year and spread some joy.  Mike and Leslie Melville, from Taylor, had over a decade of infertility challenges until baby Alara was born in October. After being diagnosed with a critical congenital heart defect, a GoFundMe was set-up for the family to help pay for medical and travel expenses.

Elevate Aviation was made aware of the traveling the Melville’s were doing to get back and forth from Fort St. John and Vancouver and decided to contact Angel Flight, an organization in Alberta that provides free air transportation for rural Albertans needing medical services. Angel Flight flew the Melville’s to Vancouver for a December appointment and will also be helping them get to Vancouver in early 2021 so baby Alara can get open-heart surgery.

Below is the Elevate Aviation video featuring Angel Flight and Leslie Melville.
