VICTORIA, B.C. – BC Transit has announced that the full driver doors retrofit project has been completed.
Over the last few months, BC Transit has been updating 696 buses across 34 transit systems. These new full driver doors now help the health and safety of BC transit drivers.
The full driver door is situated to the right of the driver’s seat near the farebox and is designed to increase protection for the drivers. It includes a transparent piece of laminated tempered glass that has an anti-glare coating and a metal base. The full driver window can be adjusted to different seat positions of the drivers.
