FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – School District 60 has been informed by Northern Health how school exposure notices will be shared during the winter break.

According to Northern Health, during the break, from December 19th, 2020, to January 1st, 2021, Northern Health will shift to online notifications. Any school exposures will be posted to the Northern Health Public Exposures and Outbreaks web page.

If a school exposure occurs and is posted on the website, staff and students are to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days from the date of exposure.

Should anyone begin to develop COVID-19 symptoms, they are advised to call their Primary Care Provider or the Northern Health Virtual Clinic at 1-844-645-7811.

Public Health will continue to follow up with any COVID-19 cases and close contacts in the school setting and notify if any close contacts need to be isolated.

School District 60 will also be monitoring the Public Exposures and Outbreaks site and will share any information on their Twitter.
