FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – City crews have started to get the ice ready for the Mathew’s Park Skating Loop and the Outdoor Rink at Kin Park.

The City is asking that residents stay off the ice while crews are working and taking advantage of the colder temperatures.

There is no time frame as to when the outdoor surfaces will be completed and ready for public use as it is all dependant on how the weather plays out, but the City is hoping the surfaces will be ready for use next week.

Last month, the city announced they had started the process to get the skating surfaces ready for use.

You can keep up to date on the ice surfaces’ progress on the City’s Facebook page.
