FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Early Bird Draw for the Rotary Mega Lottery took place Thursday, December 17, with one lucky winner claiming the prize of $5,000 cash.
The winner of the Early Bird Draw for $5,000 was Victor Hubley of Dawson Creek.
The Grand Prize Draw will take place in January and will be for $25,000, second prize for $10,000, and the third prize for $5,000.
The Mega Lottery is the largest community lottery, and 100 percent of the funds stay within the community and help to support non-profits in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, and Chetwynd.
Since 2003, the Mega Lottery has raised and distributed over $5 million to local clubs in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek.
Tickets can be purchased in person at Totem Mall, and Dawson Creek Mall and a full list of participating clubs can be found on the Mega Lottery website.
