DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Lights College has an agriculture labour market study underway for the Northeastern part of the province.
The study, ‘State of the Agriculture Labour Trends and Needs in Northeast British Columbia,’ is funded by the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction and aims to develop a broader picture of the issues and challenges facing the agriculture industry in the Northeast.
Victoria-based firm R.A. Malatest & Associates will be conducting the survey on behalf of the College.
The next steps in the study will see agricultural business owners and employers in the region surveyed and more data collected.
Northern Lights College says the agriculture study will conclude in June 2021 and a report will be produced outlining a labour market strategy.
