VICTORIA, B.C. – 91 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed over the weekend, in the Northern Health Region, bringing the number of active cases to 398.

In the Northern Health Region, 46 are in hospital, with 18 of those in ICU.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Northern Health Region now stands at 1,331.

The Region’s death count is now up to 12, three more than reported on Friday.

921 people to have contracted the virus, in the Northern Health Region, have since recovered.

According to Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry, 2,146 new cases were confirmed across B.C., over the weekend, bringing the total to 42,943.

Active cases across the province stand at 10,039 and 31,207 have since recovered.

Hospitalizations in B.C. are at 359, with 87 of those in ICU.

The province’s death count now sits at 647.

11,177 people are currently under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases.
