FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Shell Canada recently stepped up to make a surprise donation of $10,000 to the 17th Annual Rhyason Contracting ‘Light a Moose’ Campaign.

Now that Shell Canada has donated $10,000 towards the Campaign, the total amount raised now sits at $90,255.

Over the course of three days, from November 18 to the 20, individuals and businesses dropped by or phoned in to make their donations to the Hospital Foundation’s most important year-end campaign.

Several businesses and companies also raised funds, such as Murray GM, who donated $20 from every oil change, and NorthRiver Midstream who corporately matched the first $20,000 raised.

Dave Kliewer, external relations advisor of Shell Canada, says supporting the community is essential to Shell Groundbirch and they are thrilled to support vital health care services.

“Supporting communities where we live and work is essential to Shell Groundbirch. We are thrilled that our grant will help provide vital health care services during these especially critical times and the opportunity to partner in ensuring a healthy and strong community.”
