Northern Health Region sees 48 new COVID-19 cases, active count down to 332

VICTORIA, B.C. – 48 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Tuesday, in the Northern Health Region, making the number of active cases to 332, down from 356 on Monday.

In the Northern Health Region, 41 are in hospital, with 12 of those in ICU.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Northern Health Region now stands at 1,132.

The Region’s death count is now at nine.

According to Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry, 566 new cases were confirmed across B.C., bringing the total to 38,718.

Active cases across the province stand at 9,315 and 27,897 have since recovered.

Hospitalizations in B.C. are at 352, with 74 of those in ICU.

The province’s death count now sits at 543.
