FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The number of workers at Site C during October was the highest number of workers employed at the Site so far this year.

The number of people working on the Site C Project was 5,181 during the month of October.

The total number of workers from B.C. was 3,727 which is 72 percent of the total workforce.

Out of those workers, 1,144 or 26 percent represented the Peace River Regional District.

When it came to the number of apprentices at Site C, during the month of October there were 197, up from 194 in September.

As for Indigenous workers, 412 were employed during October and 566 women were also employed on-site that month.

Two international workers were employed, during October, in a specialized position working for Site C construction and non-construction contractors.
