FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Charlie Lake Elementary student Addison Tolsma has been selected as a recipient for the ALS Society of B.C. Leader of Tomorrow Award.
According to the Society, Tolsma has participated in the Fort St. John Walk to End ALS since its inception in 2018, raising over $1,000 in the first year, and over $2,100 in the second year.
The Award recognizes youth and young adults under the age of 25 who individually, or as part of a group is making a difference in the lives of those living with ALS through their volunteer efforts.
As the top fundraiser at her school, Tolsma won the privilege of being the Principal for a Day and, due to the pandemic, she received her award via Zoom.
