FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the B.C. Peace Region, as strong winds that could cause damage is expected.

West winds of 70 km/h gusting to 90 km/h will begin this afternoon as a sharp cold front moves across the area.

The winds will taper off early in the evening as the front cross into Alberta.

Any loose objects may be tossed around by wind and cause damage or injury.

Drivers should be prepared to adjust their driving with changing road conditions due to high winds.
