FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Northwest Junior Hockey League has announced that all regular-season games will be suspended as further COVID-19 restrictions are put in place in both Alberta and British Columbia.

According to a tweet by the NWJHL, due to provincial restrictions, they will be pausing all league sanctioned games until it is safe to resume.

In the meantime, the League also says they will continue to work with its members to have a return to play plan and updated schedule in place for when play is permitted.

The NWJHL’s four Alberta teams were scheduled to play this weekend but that has since been postponed as Alberta put in further COVID-19 restrictions on November 24.

Both the League’s B.C. teams, the Fort St. John Huskies and Dawson Creek Junior Canucks were scheduled to play last weekend but those games were cancelled due to restrictions.
