DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – Northern Health has announced that the COVID-19 outbreak at Rotary Manor in Dawson Creek is officially over.

According to Health Authorities, since the outbreak was declared on November 2, there have been a total of nine confirmed resident cases of COVID-19, and four staff cases, along with two resident deaths.

Northern Health says a number of enhanced control measures have been in place throughout Rotary Manor, including cleaning and infection controls, visiting restrictions, and staff and resident screening.

Now that the outbreak has been declared over, pre-arranged social visits can resume for residents and families for most of the facility, as they were before the outbreak was declared.

Public health officials will continue to monitor the Special Care Unit until the exposure risk period has passed for that area as well.
