FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Staff and students of the Energetic Learning Campus are being advised by Northern Health that they may have been in contact with a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19.

According to Northern Health, the possible exposure took place from November 16 to 18, 2020.

Northern Health says every school in B.C. has a COVID-19 safety plan in place. In this circumstance, the safety plan was followed precisely – and because of this, the risk of additional cases is very low.

Health Authorities say exposure to a confirmed case does not mean you or your child will become sick with COVID-19 and that anyone that directly came into contact with the confirmed case has been contacted by Northern Health.

Even though direct contacts have been notified, students and staff monitor for symptoms until December 4, which is 14 days after the last possible exposure.

Further information on public exposures can be found on Northern Health’s website.
