FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – MLA Dan Davies was officially sworn in, yesterday November 25th, as the representative of Peace River North.
Davies, who won the election on October 24th, will be serving his second term as MLA for Peace River North for the 42nd Parliament. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the event took place at the Peace River North constituency office on 100th Street for a virtual swearing-in over Zoom with the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia, Ms. Kate Ryal-Lloyd.
Davies says he is humbled and honoured to be chosen to represent Peace River North again and is looking forward to the work ahead. He also mentioned that the Cabinet will be sworn in later today.
According to Davies, he knows a lot of work is ahead, especially regarding COVID-19 and the economy and how that will work out. He says, “We just have a lot of work, and I’m looking forward to getting out there and doing it.”
Davies was previously elected MLA for Peace River North in May 2017.
Mike Bernier was also sworn in for his third term as MLA for Peace River South.
