DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – School District 59 has been made aware by Northern Health that students and staff at Dawson Creek Secondary School – South Peace Campus may have been in contact with a lab-confirmed case of COVID-19.

According to Northern Health, the possible exposure took place sometime between November 16 and 18, 2020.

Health Authorities say, in this circumstance, the safety plan was followed precisely – and because of this, the risk of additional cases is very low.

School District 59 says they will continue to implement the strict protocols and procedures that are in place so that children can continue to attend school as safely as possible.

 Northern Health is asking that students and staff monitor for symptoms until December 2, which is 14 days from the last date of possible contact with the confirmed case.
